Bio:
A woman who came from the realm known as Phantasmagoria, a place of unfathomable power that is grossly misunderstood by humans. A realm built on the fears of humans, yet can grant massive power to those who attempt to wield it - at the cost of their sanity and their life.
Eidola seeks the recovery of the "Eye of Fear," the very thing that allows Phantasmagoria to exist and rapidly extend its influence over the land, after it fell into the hands of humans hundreds of years ago. It was heavily researched by the magician Virinex, who believed that the Eye - and by extension, Phantasmagoria's power - could be used for good to aid humankind. He would come to learn his attempts were futile, and told his friend Valetor to kill him before he could cause the destruction of the world. The eventual battle became known throughout history, where Valetor was labeled a hero for his deeds of banishing Virinex to Phantasmagoria.
As the Eye resurfaced in the mortal world, the influence of Phantasmagoria would extend across the Kingdom of Altaera, causing the eventual insanity of the Queen and the sudden illness affecting the King. Princess Neleria and her knight Alexander would seek to find the cause of the mysterious illness that came to Altaera before it claims more lives, including that of the King's.
The Eye had found its way into the hands of the Queen, who had to be slain due to having succumbed completely to insanity. It would immediately land into the hands of the mad priestess Annabell, who added Neleria and Alexander on their quest to find the Queen.
Eidola would watch the entirety of the events unfold, knowing everything about the "players" involved. Where she seeks the return of the Eye as a Phantasmal, her intentions with it are unknown. She appears amused by the effects Phantasmagoria causes within humans, making no active effort to aid the Princess in her battles, but she has no intention of allowing the Eye to stay in human hands.
Personality:
A mischievous and aloof woman, it is difficult to understand Eidola. She doesn't care for the overall well being of humans and has no interests in aiding them in any of their struggles, but she takes great amusement in observing and interacting with them. She finds their fragility fun to play with, and is always curious to see how much it takes for one of them to break.
Most times she will appear innocent and harmless, sometimes playing pranks on others. She can, however, become sadistic at the drop of a hat if she sees so fit. Her "pranks" will take a turn for the darker, often times messing with her victim's psyche.
Powers:
Illusory & Light Powers- Eidola can manipulate light and cause tricks of the eye, making things appear that aren't really there. These can be anywhere from minor tricks to full blown illusions with the full intention of causing physical or mental harm. Her powers are more effective at night, the time that Phantasmagoria's influence is the most powerful. She sometimes makes auroras appear in the sky solely because she likes the look of them.
Magic Sensing- She can sense magic around here, including being able to identify if someone is human or simply masquerading as one. *This is a player opt-in power.
Shapeshifting- She can change her appearance, as Phantasmals have no "true" appearance of their own.
Flight & Teleporting- Her preferred means of travel. She doesn't bother walking very often, and enjoys suddenly appearing beside people.
